Open liners are new configurations for artists who need rich lines. Cheyenne calls these liners open because the individual needles run parallel all the way to the tip and do not taper there like conventional liners. They differ from shaders of the same design by their stiffer needle packages (shorter free solder length) and more pointed individual needles (longer taper length).
